    $175M raised - Paradigm, a16z, Ribbit, Apollo, Circle, VanEck. fourth institutional raise since 2021. $11B in deposits. $2B valuation and the founder said this about it: “im a tech guy i dont know anything about finance. im building infrastructure. im building code.” thats the whole thesis right there Morpho did not raise $175M because they were good at fundraising they raised it because they spent years being good at building they been building quietly, without a narrative campaign, without a cycle-dependent hype machine the protocol was already being used by Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, Galaxy, and Anchorage before the raise happened. the money followed the product. it always does what makes this raise structurally different from most DeFi fundraises- the investment was structured as a token purchase at the average monthly market price no private round discount | no insider edge investors paid what the market priced the token at. thats a genuinely rare design decision that most protocols would never a

    Leaning long $MORPHO here With the negative funding rn, shorts paying longs. That's a decent carry + potential short squeeze. Price is basically approaching 2.0 resistance. If it breaks with volume, pretty much we will see 2.2 or even higher. Still waiting for a cleaner entry tbh. Regime still heavily depends on btc, low leverage + smaller size here makes more sense these days, don't wanna get chopped by random wicks. NFADYOR

    This is so disingenuous lol. Morpho is really well built. Its simplicity is its strength. My concern w.r.t. the raise was a possible dual token-equity structure that would make the token uninvestable. But this may not be the case. Other than that, its gud tek.

    Took the time to think about it deeper: Ultimately, it's VCs buying 175M worth of tokens at market value. Which is quite rare considering current market conditions for crypto. There's no dual structure shenanigans here. @Morpho team is still aligned their token holders. Market buys would have obviously been better for them, but that's not money serving as fuel future growth and global expansion. I think this is bullish for everyone, I just wish the team was more transparent and had an open discussion with the DAO that owned these tokens prior to this OTC deal.
