Dear BitMart Users,
To optimize platform resource allocation, BitMart has been implementing a custody fee policy for long-inactive accounts since April 30, 2025. We are now updating the fee structure as outlined below, effective immediately upon the release of this announcement.
I. User Scope
The platform will take a snapshot of user accounts at the end of each month. Accounts that have remained continuously inactive for two years or more as of the snapshot date will be subject to the custody fee.
II. Fee Collection Rules
Following the monthly snapshot, custody fees will be calculated based on the account's continuous inactivity period, according to the following tiered rates:
| Continuous Inactivity Period | Monthly Custody Fee Rate |
| Three years or more | 2% |
| Two years (inclusive) to three years | 1% |
- Minimum Fee: If the calculated fee for a single monthly cycle is less than 10 USDT, a minimum fee of 10 USDT will be charged. If the total account asset value is below 10 USDT, the fee will still be deducted at the calculated amount, and the account itself will remain unaffected.
- Deduction Order: The fee will be deducted from the asset with the highest USDT-equivalent value in the account. If that asset has insufficient balance, the system will proceed to deduct from the asset with the next highest USDT-equivalent value, and so on, until the full fee amount is collected.
- Parent and Sub-Account Handling: If a user transfers assets between parent and sub-accounts during the period between the snapshot and the actual fee deduction, and such transfer does not affect the platform's ability to separately charge the custody fee for each account, the platform will deduct the respective fees from each account separately. If the transfer does affect the platform's ability to separately charge the custody fee, the platform will first collect the total fee for both parent and sub-accounts from the parent account. If the parent account has insufficient assets, the fee will then be collected from the sub-account(s) with sufficient balances, which may involve multiple sub-accounts.
III. Exemption
Users who complete a valid login to their account at any time prior to the snapshot date will be exempt from the custody fee for that monthly cycle. We strongly encourage you to log in to your account and review your holdings at your earliest convenience to avoid any unnecessary charges.
We appreciate your understanding and continued support. BitMart remains committed to providing you with a secure and efficient digital asset trading experience.
