Movement labs filling for bankruptcy is a sad thing to see After raising over $141M and targeting a $3B valuation, it has all gone down the sink The beginning of the end was the market making scandal that rocked the price of movement:native , getting them banned on Binance and other exchanges. A truly sad way to go out 💔

Every good run comes to an end. I still remember grinding the @movement_xyz airdrop, and tbh it was a good time. Everyone thought this could become one of the biggest airdrop from a project once valued at $3b. So hearing that Movement Labs filed for bankruptcy feels bittersweet to me. A project with so much potential ended up fading away. Maybe this is one of those reminders that hype gets people in, while transparency and solid execution keep a project alive.

the original company behind Movement has filed for bankruptcy after raising at least $41.4M: here’s what happened and the part most headlines left out > MVMT Labs filed for Chapter 11 on July 15 with under $1M in declared assets and over $1M in liabilities > its problems began after the MOVE token launched in December 2024 > a controversial market-making deal allowed 66M MOVE to be sold shortly after launch, contributing to a sharp price decline > Binance later banned the market-making account, while Movement launched an investigation and announced a token buyback > co-founder Rushi Manche was removed as the fallout triggered major leadership and governance changes > Movement’s operations were later reorganized under a new company called Move Industries > Movement’s own announcement says Move Industries acquired key employees and assumed primary responsibility for operating the network > @torabyou has now clarified that MVMT Labs is a separate legal entity, Move Industries is not part of the bankrupt

This bankruptcy is more like a legal cleanup of the consequences of an old scandal. However, the news cannot be considered completely harmless either. It confirms how severe the old team's crisis was and poses the risk of challenging the recent asset transfer. In addition, confidence in this project has clearly been undermined

Movement Labs Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy With Liabilities Above $1 Million Movement Labs, the developer of the Movement blockchain, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Court filings show the company has between $100,000 and $500,000 in assets, more than $1 million in liabilities and fewer than 1,000 creditors. Its largest creditors include co-founder Rushi Manche, the Delaware Division of Revenue and Anchorage Digital. The filing follows controversy over MOVE token market-making, an internal investigation and Binance’s ban of the related market-making account. Movement Labs parted ways with Manche in May 2025.

Movement Labs Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy: What It Really Means MVMT Labs, Inc. the original developer behind the Movement blockchain, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Delaware. The petition was filed on July 15 and became public this week. The Numbers: ✅ Assets: $100K – $500K ✅ Liabilities: up to $10 million ✅ Creditors: up to 299 ✅ Largest claim: ousted co-founder Rushi Manche, $1.6M+ ✅ Case: In re MVMT Labs, Inc. (Subchapter V, District of Delaware) Important: Read this before you panic sell: This filing covers MVMT Labs only. Move Industries, which took over Movement's development and operations in December 2025, is a separate legal entity and is NOT part of the bankruptcy. CEO Torab Torabi confirmed operations continue normally. The chain is not shutting down. Also note: Subchapter V is a Reorganization track, not liquidation. A restructuring plan is expected around mid-October, with a creditor claim deadline of September 14. How much money went in before launch: 🔹 $3.4M pre-seed - September 2023 🔹 $38M Series A - April 2024, led by Polychain Capital 🔹 Total: $41.4M raised in 2023–2024 before the token ever traded 🔹 A further $100M Series B followed in early 2025, taking the total past $140M Now the part that actually hurts 👇 If you invested $100,000 in #MOVE at its ATH of $1.41 on December, 2024, today your holdings are worth just ~$750. That's 19 months. -99.27%. And that's pure holding return, before any fees or taxes. But the chart tells the real story: ➡️ Raised $141.4M historically ➡️ FDV now ~$107M, down 99%+ from ATH ➡️ $MOVE trading near $0.0106 ➡️ On-chain fees in the last 24 hours: $1 A project once near a $3B valuation now lists under $500K in assets. That's the lesson, funding rounds and TVL headlines don't equal revenue. Always check whether a chain is actually being used before you buy the narrative. Narratives move fast. Capital moves faster. Not Financial Advice. ALWAYS DYOR. @movement_xyz

OMG, once raised $41.4 million, peaked at a $3 billion valuation, the Move language/L2 representative, a star public chain project backed by World Liberty Financial, Movement, has quietly filed for bankruptcy. Looking at the token, $MOVE fell from a high of $1.4 to $0.01, a drop of nearly 99%. On-chain daily revenue has been under $800 since November last year, and at its most extreme, the real revenue was only $1. This is the state of the crypto world, no wonder everyone is shifting to US stocks...

Movement Labs went from raising over $38M and launching at a $10B FDV to filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in just 18 months. Its collapse shows how capital and token hype fail without sustainable ecosystem activity and protocol revenue. Here’s what actually led to Movement’s collapse. — ➤ Everything Changed After the Token Launch The December 2024 movement:native launch became the turning point after a reported sale of 66M tokens by a market maker triggered a rapid loss of confidence. - A reported sale of 66M tokens pushed the price from above $1 to just a few cents. - Community confidence faded as selling pressure accelerated. - Binance scrutiny and an internal investigation soon followed. - Co-founder @rushimanche was later removed. The selloff quickly became a credibility crisis, undermining confidence across the project and its leadership. — ➤ The Business Wasn't Generating Real Demand Movement failed to generate meaningful economic activity despite strong funding and early hype. - Daily app revenue stayed below $800 for months. - Daily chain fees fell into single digits, signaling limited network usage. - Protocol revenue never became strong enough to support long-term operations. As speculative demand faded, protocol revenue never became strong enough to sustain the business. — ➤ The Token Reflected the Business - movement:native fell over 97% from its ATH, while FDV dropped from nearly $10B to around $106M. - Ecosystem activity remained weak, and protocol revenue never materialized. - Treasury reserves continued to shrink as confidence faded. The token follows the business, as weakening fundamentals ultimately led to Chapter 11. — ➤ The Balance Sheet Told the Story The bankruptcy filing exposed how little financial runway remained. • Assets: $100K–$500K • Liabilities: $1M–$10M • Creditors: Around 299 — ➤ My Take Every cycle reminds us that capital and token demand are not product-market fit. Sustainable ecosystems are built on users, builders, and revenue, not valuations. Markets eventually price fundamentals.

I recall that the biggest exchanges listed it very quickly, so the top-level crypto ecosystem is a harvesting ecosystem. But it's also a good thing; the retail investors have been completely harvested, the crypto space is dead, maybe it can be reborn from the ashes.

😂 I saw the email this morning and thought it was a scam, so I ignored it. That's not the most tragic part; the most tragic part is that I waited to claim movement:native after the mainnet launched, but so far the mainnet hasn't launched (or it launched without notification) 😂 In the end, I still haven't received a single cent worth of MOVE.

this is an EXTREMELY movement thing to do, like 100% on brand note that there are legitimate non-insider creditors here who were screwed over financially by this train wreck they are now seemingly being put behind insiders in the claims pecking order while same insiders fully control the bankruptcy process

🚨 WOW—THIS is the real breaking news in the Movement Labs bankruptcy. Forget the headline that Movement Labs simply “filed Chapter 11.” The docket reveals what may be an extraordinary new crypto restructuring tactic: Transfer the operating business, IP, contracts, token rights and employees before bankruptcy. Leave the legacy company with $60,000 and litigation claims. Then have a Foundation-controlled Cayman SPV fund a Subchapter V case conditioned on court approval of the transfers and sweeping releases for nearly everyone surrounding the successor business. Here is what the filings say: Under the pre‑petition Project Fenix Agreement, Movement Labs transferred its remaining IP and key contracts to the Movement Network Foundation, surrendered its MOVE‑token distribution rights and agreed to wind down. A separate transaction transferred its team to Move Industries for only $1.2 million. By the petition date, Movement Labs admits it had: • no material operating assets • no operating business • no full‑t
