    Quantum resistance is not the hottest topic in crypto rn – but it's 100% the one that will matter long-term. Yesterday, @NEARProtocol launched quantum‑safe signing and dynamic resharding on mainnet. This pair targets two distinct protocol credibility vectors: → cryptographic longevity → operational scaling. Quantum‑safe signing is intended to reduce the risk that future quantum advances could retroactively compromise signatures. Dynamic resharding is described as automatically adjusting shard boundaries and capacity to shifting load. If robust, it could reduce manual coordination and localized congestion. All this is focused on ensuring that NEAR Protocol can support agentic commerce – chain's main bet for the upcoming years.

    NEAR Protocol co‑founder Illia Polosukhin said that AI is helping hackers discover software vulnerabilities faster, and traditional manual code review can no longer keep up, so blockchain development should shift toward formal verification, using mathematical proofs to show that code behaves as intended. He noted that AI can assist in generating proofs, which are then validated by independent systems for correctness, reducing work that previously took years to a matter of weeks. Recently, Zcash's Project Tachyon used AI‑assisted verification to produce a mathematical proof for the Ironwood privacy pool that prevents similar hidden inflation bugs.
