    Wu reported that Lorenzo Valente posted a rebuttal to a16z crypto's view that institutions will adopt permissioned chains for the long term, stating that historical cases such as corporate intranets and private clouds show that closed systems are more of a transitional solution rather than an end state. Enterprise chains like R3 Corda, Hyperledger Fabric, and Quorum have not achieved significant economic scale over many years, while mainstream assets such as BUIDL, BENJI, USDC, and USDT are all deployed on public chains. Valente pointed out that liquidity depth, composability, and permissionless access cannot be fully replicated on closed networks.     🔎 RESEARCH: Most RWA discussions focus on issuance. But for private credit, the harder question is enforcement. Can investors recover funds if the borrower defaults? If the answer depends only on a token, the structure is incomplete. Credit still lives in legal systems. @eightlends tested this directly. Its parent, Maclear AG, recorded one default: an Italian company called Vibroedil, which entered insolvency in July 2025 after receiving a €150,000 loan. In no time, collateral recovery under Italian pledge law fully covered investors’ principal. That is the difference between a token and an enforceable claim.

    🚨PeckShield: Approximately 24 million USDC have been stolen from Ostium's public OLP vault. According to PeckShield monitoring, about 24,000,000 USDC were taken from Ostium's public OLP vault. The attacker swapped the funds for 12,080 ETH and has so far deposited 10,540 ETH into Tornado Cash. The attacker initially transferred 1 ETH to the wallet address via ChangeNow and Bybit as initial funding.

    Damn I was having a really good morning until I saw Ostium hacked. This is the 3rd perp dex I had funds on that’s been hacked and I lost money. No airdrops will ever be worth total loss of funds. Should I just be done with these alt perp dexes and put all my trust in Jeff?
