According to Reuters citing consumer rights organization Public Citizen, crypto companies have so far invested $189 million to influence the 2026 U.S. midterm elections, surpassing the $170 million spent in the 2024 election cycle. The report states that the crypto industry contributed more than one-third of corporate political funds in this year's U.S. elections, making it the largest corporate political spender; the super PAC Fairshake, which supports crypto‑friendly candidates, has already raised $82 million in this round. The report also lists Andreessen Horowitz, Ripple Labs, Crypto.com‑related company Foris DAX, and Coinbase as the top four contributors to the relevant political action committees.
