🚨 Mastercard launched "Agent Pay for Machines" yesterday — an infrastructure that lets AI agents pay on-chain autonomously and without any human in between.

Interesting is who is playing along. Over 30 partners. Here a TradFi giant is building the rails for the machine economy — and brings in Stripe, Cloudflare and Checkoutcom, alongside the crypto names.

On the crypto side, each partner occupies a layer:

→ Ripple provides settlement and compliance via the XRP Ledger plus RLUSD — settlement in seconds, with an audit trail.
→ #Aave provides the credit layer, through which agents can borrow.
→ #Solana is the fast rail for execution.
→ #Polygon, Coinbase and OKX round out the partner circle.

The prices have not reacted to it. $SOL, $XRP, $AAVE and $POL are all in the red on a weekly view, Polygon near an all‑time low. An announcement alone does not generate buying pressure.

So far there is no volume or transaction count. It is still just a partner circle on a slide — the measured payment flow has yet to appear. Which chains will be truly processed and which will remain just a logo will be clarified later.

And the "on-chain" here is controlled: Mastercard does build on public chains, but brings its own rules and compliance.

The first real transactions will be decisive. Until they happen, it remains theory. A real bridge between TradFi and chains, or in the end just a PR release?
