🇺🇦 Ukraine for the first time brings seized crypto assets under state control, seizing over 8.3 million USDT

The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine announced that more than 8.3 million USDT have been transferred to a wallet controlled by the State Asset Recovery and Management Agency, marking the country's first inclusion of seized crypto assets into the national management system.

These USDT originated from an international hacking case, where the involved group launched cyber attacks against targets in Europe and the United States and extorted ransom, causing losses exceeding $100 million.

Recently I studied on‑chain staking and found that WStaking is worth trying out.

Previously I have been looking at various USDT‑denominated financial products; most of them either have pitifully low annual yields or promise eye‑catching triple‑digit returns that turn out to be fake, luring people in and then running away.
I looked into WStaking’s staking rules and found that they calculate the annual yield based on two dimensions: duration and amount:

> 1 month: 10%
> 3 months: 12–15%
> 6 months: 15–24%
> 12 months: 24–36%

Minimum 10 USDT, maximum capped at 10,000 USDT to get the top tier rate.

In other words, the rate isn’t a fixed number; the more you deposit and the longer you lock, the higher the annual yield climbs.

There are a few details worth mentioning:
They allow partial early withdrawal; only the portion you withdraw early is penalized, while the remaining funds continue to earn interest according to the new conditions. This is much more user‑friendly compared to contracts that penalize the entire amount for an early exit.

After the term ends, the system automatically renews, and after renewal you can withdraw at any time without penalties. It gives you a buffer period so you don’t have to time the exact release point.
This differs from many DeFi protocols that settle instantly, so it’s a point to note.

Additionally, WStaking has passed a Cred security audit and is listed on DeFi Llama, so its data transparency can at least be verified. It’s more reliable than many projects that can’t even provide an audit report.

I started with a small position to test it, and the process seemed fine; I plan to increase the position and keep observing.
On‑chain projects still require your own due diligence—run through the process with a small amount first before deciding whether to scale up.
