    Ninja’s new agent competition is live. We’ve moved the incentive mechanism closer to real-world agent usage. The closer the competition gets to how agents are actually used, the faster miners produce agents that get better at real-world work. Our next release, codenamed Katana, is the next piece of the stack. We think miners will love it. We think people who’ve never even heard of Bittensor will find it useful too. Soon.

    Spent a few days in DC last week to help educate lawmakers and their staff on decentralized AI, Bittensor, and digital assets. Seems especially relevant and timely given events of the last few hours. Some takeaways: 1. Every office—Democrat and Republican—is looking to learn more. There’s a universal recognition AI is here and Congress needs to get up to speed…fast. It reminded me of the early conversations about crypto when it was 99% education and 1% technical. 2. Americans’ relationship with AI is changing. Costs are increasing and access is not guaranteed. The “Uber” subsidization period is over. We are entering a new phase where Chinese models are growing in use and importance as Americans seek cheaper alternatives with 80-90% of the capabilities as leading frontier models. 3. This has significant national security concerns because the relative model substitution costs are so low. It becomes a backdoor for China to get access to Americans’ data when you plug in DeepSeek or Qwen for an OpenAI or

    🚨 Anthropic just updated its privacy policy. Claude Free, Pro, and Max users may soon be asked for age or identity checks. Verification data can include government ID, face photos/videos, and facial geometry templates. Individual developers are the first group in scope for verification.

    Two people who were early in Bitcoin and early in Ethereum just went on record about $TAO. One of them wrote a book about Bitcoin in 2013. The other invested in the Ethereum ICO in 2015.     Most people watching $TAO are still staring at candles. They are missing what just happened on a regulated exchange. Grayscale built a vehicle so investors could hold TAO exposure without wallets, seed phrases, or self custody. Convenient. Familiar. Wrapped in a ticker with a CUSIP and an ISIN. But Grayscale’s own filing admits something most people will never read. The shares are not required to track the value of the TAO inside. They can trade at a premium or discount, sometimes a large one, with no guarantee it ever closes. Right now that gap is not small. The wrapper is priced more than three times higher than the TAO actually backing it. Spot $TAO does not have this problem. It trades for what it is, set by the market that actually moves it. When a regulated product is pricing TAO exposure at a multiple of spot, that is not noise. That is a signal about where demand wants to go. This is still early. Tell me I am wrong.
