Crypto exchange BitMart will wind down its trading platform in stages, first halting new registrations and deposits before formally ending exchange operations in January 2027.
BitMart outlined the shutdown schedule in a notice published on July 26. Starting at 1:30 UTC that day, the exchange will gradually suspend new user registrations and deposits of cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies. Futures accounts will shift to reduce-only mode at the same time, and the platform will stop accepting new spot orders. Automated trading services, including copy trading, grid trading and API trading, will also be phased out.
The exchange will stop all trading services, including spot and futures, from 1:00 UTC on Aug. 26. Any futures positions still open at that time may be settled by the platform in a batch based on the applicable mark price, index price or settlement rules then in effect.
Investment products including Earn, staking, lending and Launchpad will also be discontinued in stages based on each product's schedule. Users must complete repayment and settlement procedures in line with the guidance for each product.
BitMart plans to officially end operation of its trading platform at 15:59 UTC on Jan. 31, 2027. For a period after the shutdown, users will still be able to log in to their accounts, review trading histories and request withdrawals. Procedures for those services will be announced separately.
BitMart urged users to complete know-your-customer verification before trading services end on Aug. 26, close all open orders and futures positions, and withdraw their assets. Withdrawals will remain available, but additional reviews may be required for compliance with anti-money laundering rules, sanctions screening and the Travel Rule, which could lengthen processing times.
