📉 BEAT Plummets 38% Days After Reaching Its All-Time High
$BEAT, the native token of Audiera, fell 38% in the past 24 hours, dropping from $5.62 to a low of $2.48. The steep decline occurred just four days after the asset hit its all-time high of $11.01, erasing much of the gains accumulated during its recent rally.
📋 What Triggered the Drop
The correction was primarily driven by strong profit-taking after a parabolic rise. The move was amplified by a cascade of liquidations in the derivatives market.
According to estimates from centralized and decentralized exchanges, more than $120 million in long positions were liquidated during the drop. In addition, open interest in perpetual futures fell more than 35% from the highs recorded days earlier, while funding rates turned negative.
📊 On-Chain Metrics Also Weaken
The price decline coincided with a deterioration of activity on the network. Daily active addresses dropped 28% over the past week to roughly 4,200 users.
On the other hand, the total value locked (TVL) in contracts related to BEAT stands at just $24 million. This leaves a Market Cap/TVL ratio of 37.4×, a level considerably higher than observed in comparable protocols.
🔍 Correction or Warning?
The combination of a sharp price drop, massive liquidations, and relatively weak on-chain activity suggests that much of the prior rally was driven by speculation rather than proportional growth in platform usage.
