Wu said he learned that ENS DAO has launched a new proposal titled “Empowering the ENS Foundation,” which aims to establish a full-time operating foundation and set up a five-member board of directors to manage an Endowment fund. The proposal plans to authorize the foundation to operate the fund and allocate 1 million ENS tokens for employee compensation. @ensdomains delegate @katherinewu posted a revised draft of the ENS Foundation proposal, scaling back a plan delegates called a 'governance attack' last month.

Originally: the DAO's operational wallet and ENS holdings would move to the Foundation.

Now: both stay under tokenholder control, while the Foundation gets only a one-time 1M ENS grant, plus Endowment oversight subject to a new Security Council veto.
