Existing users will need to withdraw their assets or migrate their positions to other compatible deployments. The decision reflects a broader trend in DeFi: protocols are stopping maintaining deployments on every possible chain to concentrate resources in markets with higher adoption, security efficiency, and sustainable use. For Compound, the measure does not constitute a protocol shutdown, but a strategic simplification to reduce complexity and focus development, governance, and risk management on its primary markets.
