Movement Labs, the developer of Movement, has filed for bankruptcy after the company became over‑indebted due to the scandal surrounding the $MOVE token’s steep drop, and a cascade of drama that last year removed the former CEO (Rushi). Rushi’s name also appears among the list of creditors. Current CEO Torab explains that MVMT Labs, which filed for bankruptcy, is a legal entity that split off from the original team, while the current Movement has shifted to a payment company and has not been affected. Moreover, separating the company before filing for bankruptcy is a tactic to discard bad debt and redeploy resources to a new company; this is well‑known among insiders. (This paragraph is unrelated to the above.)

😂 I saw the email this morning and thought it was a scam, so I ignored it. That’s not the saddest part; the saddest part is that I was supposed to wait for the mainnet launch to claim movement:native, but the mainnet still hasn't launched (or launched without any notice) 😂 In the end, I still haven’t received any MOVE, not even a cent.

🚨 Another crypto project has filed for bankruptcy Movement Labs has just filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, about 18 months after once aiming for a $3 billion valuation. 📉 Remaining assets are only $100,000–$500,000, while liabilities amount to $10 million. ❗️The project plunged after the MM scandal involving the $MOVE token, internal investigations, and a series of post‑launch fiascos. Indeed, a high valuation does not guarantee sustainable success. The liquidation season — many projects are still to come, Don't only invest in Bitcoin — keep the market updated regularly, AE (so you don't get rug‑pulled by the next 2‑3 projects). 💡 Remember to subscribe to the channels, enable notifications — like and share to avoid missing updates!

And of course, the infamous movement:native was one of Binance Labs investments 😅. You really can't make this stuff up. What's even funnier is that MOVE is still trading on Binance Spot and Futures. Apparently, this Chapter 11 filing only applies to the old entity, MVMT Labs. The ecosystem is now run by Move Industries, and they claim the bankruptcy has zero impact on current operations. Convenient.

Stay away from VC tokens (especially the ones backed by Binance Labs). The playbook is always the same: the project sells a chunk of the supply to Binance at a near-zero valuation (notice how that valuation is almost never disclosed publicly), and in return Binance agrees to list the token. Then the milking begins. Binance users become the exit liquidity for years while insiders gradually unload. Eventually the token drifts toward zero, gets delisted, and it's like it never existed. It's not an exception. It's a SYSTEM. We've seen this play out over and over again.

Movement Labs Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy With Liabilities Above $1 Million Movement Labs, the developer of the Movement blockchain, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Court filings show the company has between $100,000 and $500,000 in assets, more than $1 million in liabilities and fewer than 1,000 creditors. Its largest creditors include co-founder Rushi Manche, the Delaware Division of Revenue and Anchorage Digital. The filing follows controversy over MOVE token market-making, an internal investigation and Binance’s ban of the related market-making account. Movement Labs parted ways with Manche in May 2025.

🤡MVMT Labs files for bankruptcy, Move Industries quickly disavows any connection The Movement blockchain developer MVMT Labs officially filed for bankruptcy on July 15, and Move Industries, which operates the Movement blockchain, immediately clarified that the two are unrelated, a statement that has sparked skepticism. MVMT Labs filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Delaware, with assets ranging from $100,000 to $1,000,000, liabilities up to $10,000,000, and about 299 creditors. The ousted co‑founder Rushi Manche is the largest unsecured creditor, claiming over $1.6 million. Move Industries, led by CEO Torab Torabi, says the two companies are independent legal entities, that Move Industries is not involved in this bankruptcy, and that operations continue as usual. However, the community does not accept this. Some users said, "MVMT Labs raised over $100 million, and Move Industries is a new company led by the same group after the founder was blamed"; Others pointed out that while the two companies are legally unrelated, the Movement blockchain itself remains the same chain. Both sides have not provided further response to the criticisms.

Wu reported that, according to DeFiLlama data, since last November, the daily revenue of Movement on-chain apps has long been below $800, and the daily on-chain fees have consistently remained in single digits, with the fee in the past 24 hours at just $1. However, Movement’s total funding reaches $141.4 million; the token’s current FDV is $107 million, having fallen more than 99% from its peak. Currently, Movement blockchain developer Movement Labs has filed for bankruptcy. https://t.co/sQ6L11DFRr
