I used to measure L2s by TVL, transactions, and wallet growth. Those metrics still matter, but I think another one is becoming just as important “𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞.”

Robinhood chose @arbitrum Orbit to power its tokenized asset chain, plugging into the Arbitrum Expansion Program (AEP) that the Arbitrum foundation and @Offchain introduced back in January 2024.

The revenue today is still small. Robinhood Chain has generated about $147K in protocol revenue.

The interesting use case is what happens if @RobinhoodCrypto gradually brings more of its business on-chain.

The company reportedly manages $324B in platform assets, holds $143.6B in custody, and now offers 2,000+ tokenized stocks across 120 countries.

Layer 2s are competing to become the infrastructure that powers global financial platforms.

If that's where this market is heading, infrastructure partnerships could end up being one of the most valuable metrics investors track.

It’s not just a technical upgrade; this is a big step linking Traditional Finance (TradFi) and Decentralized Finance (DeFi).

So what’s new?
1. Asset tokenization (RWA) – now you can trade stocks like Apple and NVIDIA on the blockchain 24/7, without waiting for the market to open or close.

2. AI Trading – the network is designed to support Agentic Trading, meaning smart bots can execute trades and manage loans automatically, with latency as low as 100 ms.

3. Strong DeFi liquidity – the network launched with direct integration with protocols such as Uniswap and Morpho, attracting over $100 million TVL in the first week alone.
📌 What does this mean? Simply, this step makes it easier for liquidity from the equity market to flow into the blockchain, opening the door for millions of users to enter the crypto world in a simpler, more organized way.

In short, equity liquidity is entering crypto liquidity…
