a lot of people have commented in recent days that KYC on @HyperliquidX is bearish. you're all wrong, it's the most bullish thing i've read about HL since i first heard about it my trading terminal has 2 types of users, institutional and retail. institutional traders (hedge funds) almost exclusively trade on CEXs. retail traders are more spread out, but a large bulk of our volume goes to perp DEXs the reason why hedge funds trade exclusively on CEXs is because when they take money from investors (LPs), they sign strict rules about how they can use the investor's money. a huge part of a boilerplate LP agreement is to ensure the money doesn't get siezed because the hedge fund skirted regulations most people see KYC and AML from the end-user POV. it seems like exchanges are making sure that you are a compliant user. that is half of it. the other half is what it does for everyone else on the venue: a fund's LPs need assurance that the exchange itself screens participants, so their money never touches a venue c
