@dominic_w Feature suggestion: add an optional interface_id (referrer_id) to all user-facing MULTI/DEX calls, deposits, swaps, and orders. Every interface that brings users to MULTI/DEX earns a share of protocol fees based on the value it contributes: the liquidity it attracts and the trading volume it routes. This completely changes the incentives. Instead of every team launching yet another DEX and fragmenting liquidity, wallets, DEXs, aggregators, bots, and portfolio apps have a reason to build on top of the same shared liquidity layer. MULTI/DEX already solves the hard part: one AMM vault, shared order books, open-source, public canister API governed by the NNS, offering protocol level trust assumptions instead of relying on an anonymous team holding custody of liquidity. This would add the missing incentive layer and could create powerful network effects. Everyone competes on UX and features not on splitting liquidity. Disagree. ICP is not built in a way that fits meme coins. No shadow over exe or other meme coins, they obviously work fine. What doesn’t work is that ICP DEXes have no MEV. While I see this as a clear advantage in general, @NebulaOnIC has done good work explaining what that means for your traditional crypto market makers - it means they can’t max extract on ICP like on other blockchains, so they’re not interested, especially since Dfinity isn’t trying to attract them with the normal bribes. I don’t think meme pump’n’dumps are organic affairs where ”degens” manage to pull a GME by aping in together. I think it’s nearly always fully manipulated max extraction machines, and I don’t think they bring much positive attention anymore because the retail suckers this game was designed to fleece have seen through it by now. Sure some chains have seen action by subsidizing the meme MMs, even by outright pumping memes. But is it sticky? Is it worth it to anyone except those trying to exit the chain in a pump? What
