What I have learned since 2017 in the crypto market, especially with the OG‑Coins: If the fundamentals are at least somewhat sound, a project has a real use‑case, or at least has built a strong narrative around potential use‑cases, then often it eventually doesn’t need an obvious reason for a pump. Older projects have proven over multiple cycles that they can deliver decentralization, runtime, further development, updates and bug fixes. The market often forgets this until it suddenly remembers again. I could name several examples here: Zcash, HBAR, XRP, Doge, XDC and many others have jumped out of nowhere after 700+/900+ days of sideways movement or weakness. In the end, often only one thing needs to be true: the formula for an altcoin season. And it doesn’t have to be as extreme as 2021. Most should have understood this at the latest since 2024. So if you find several reasons why an altcoin actually shouldn’t (or couldn’t) pump, yet it has a long sideways movement behind it and appears dead, the market will very likely teach you something better sometime, often without a recognizable reason 🤓✌️

Protocol transitions carry execution risk. Moving a live blockchain from one consensus mechanism to another, without a service disruption, while maintaining the confidence of the validator set and the broader community, is one of the harder technical achievements in the industry. We executed the Hayabusa upgrade without technical issue. Our community responded. 13B VET staked. For our 2026 roadmap, staking TVL is one of the key metrics investors and institutional observers will track. The trajectory established in the first 3 months is a strong foundation.

Actually, there isn’t much to update on #VeChain right now. 👀 The price remains in a downtrend and could consolidate in these ranges for several months. However, we have seen enough: if a project stays fundamentally stable, after long accumulation phases—sometimes over 900+ days—stronger breakouts can eventually follow. Time is often the underestimated factor in the market.

In December 2025, we launched StarGate alongside the Hayabusa protocol upgrade. Hayabusa transitioned VeChainThor from Proof of Authority to Delegated Proof of Stake, the most significant consensus change in our history. StarGate gave our community a direct way to participate: stake VET, earn protocol rewards, and contribute to network security and decentralization. In 3 months, total VET staked grew from 2.52 billion to 13 billion tokens. Staking TVL is one of the clearest signals of community conviction: it requires locking capital and accepting a time horizon in exchange for protocol rewards.
