On-chain credit platform and RWA tokenization protocol Centrifuge announced a strategic partnership with IOSG Ventures, aiming to jointly advance institutional-grade asset tokenization in the Asian region. Centrifuge obtained S&P permission to issue on-chain index funds and is expanding into on-chain equities. IOSG Ventures founder Jocy said IOSG was among the first institutional investors to support Centrifuge in 2021 and has continued to increase its holdings since then; this collaboration will provide traditional financial institutions in Asia with a trustworthy and compliant path to bring assets on-chain. https://t.co/vBD8bUetxI
We’re proud to deepen our partnership with @centrifuge, now extending into Asia. Our conviction here isn’t new. We first backed Centrifuge in 2021, when bringing real-world assets onchain was still a thesis most of the market hadn’t priced in. We joined again in the 2024 round, and we’ve continued to increase our position since, as the institutional pipeline has matured from idea to scaled adoption.
That trajectory is why this partnership matters now. Tokenization in Asia has reached the point where the bottleneck is no longer technology, it’s the connective tissue: the capital, the regulatory access, and the distribution that turn institutional‑grade products into adopted ones. Centrifuge has built the infrastructure. IOSG brings the regional network across all three. Together we’re building a single route for Asian institutions to bring assets onchain, from structuring to distribution. This is a long‑term commitment, and we’re putting real weight behind it.
More to come over the coming months.
Centrifuge and @IOSGVC have entered into a strategic partnership to advance institutional tokenization across Asia.
IOSG first backed Centrifuge in 2021 and has now increased its position through open-market purchases.
That reflects a shared conviction: tokenized assets are moving from an emerging thesis to an increasingly important part of global capital markets.
Asia is emerging as a key region in that shift, driven by growing institutional interest and rapidly evolving digital asset ecosystems.
Together, we’ll help expand access to tokenized assets across Asia and support the next phase of growth.
