Sharding

@QuaiNetwork sharding does not create shards by design, it creates them automatically when the single chain saturates.

The network measures its own performance.

When the uncle rate climbs high enough to indicate that transaction demand is exceeding throughput, the system adds a second shard without any human intervention.

A single Quai chain can handle between 700 and 1,000 transactions per second before this triggers.

After that, throughput doubles.

Then doubles again.

There is no ceiling.

SOAP (Subsidized Open-market Acquisition Protocol)

Repurposes Proof-of-Work from other chains to boost QUAI's economy and security.

Miners from subsidy chains (like LTC, DOGE, BCH) direct rewards to a protocol address. These are sold for stables, then used to buy QUAI on the market. Bought QUAI is burned or locked as rewards, creating buy pressure and reducing supply.

Supports multiple PoW algorithms (Scrypt, SHA-256, KawPow). Acts as a meta-pool with Stratum protocol, no miner changes needed. Lightweight verification on Quai nodes ensures integrity. It's additive to consensus, enhancing without altering core PoW.

Generates revenue to offset sell pressure, burns tokens for scarcity, attracts TVL via locking incentives. Boosts security with diversified hash rate and draws in global miners. Turns "wasteful" PoW energy into value.
