I’ve lost a ton of respect for @silviomicali. It’s understandable to build something and once it’s grown and ready, let it out to grow in the world and take a step back. It’s a whole other thing to suck tens of millions, make a bunch of empty promises only to disappear (after misleading investors he’s taking a more active role) when Algo has not found that product‑market fit or traction. On top of that, whenever he does any public speeches around blockchain he is embarrassed to say Algorand, parades as a “blockchain” founder, while building up a new product of which Algorand could have just been used and focused on. Sadly I view him just as one of many grifters in the space. Disappointed.
