Bitget Wallet has a high risk of exchange loss when buying new tokens; the author personally experienced a 70% loss and warns users.
The market has been great these past two days, everyone is shorting.
If you're shorting with the bg wallet, be careful.
Some new tokens bought with bg result in a direct 70% exchange loss.
When I was buying yesterday, I habitually used the bg wallet, turned a 900 USD RTX into only 170 USD worth of tokens.
Indeed, there was a notice of a large exchange rate difference at purchase; I thought it was due to high slippage, so I manually set slippage to 3%, after which the transaction deducted over 70%.
Later I saw it was indeed executed at a 3% slippage, but because the bg wallet currently doesn't support NVDAB as an intermediate token, platforms like okx, bn wallet, gmgn don't have this issue.
However, bg currently doesn't support it, so your purchase could suffer a very high exchange loss.
