Right now, 494 addresses are holding between 25K and 50K internet-computer:native . The total supply in these addresses hit its highest point back in April 2022 at 19.9 million ICP. After that, it kept dropping until June 25, when it reached 13.8 million ICP. Since then, it’s bounced back up and is now sitting at 16.5 million ICP. Interesting to see that the number of addresses in this range peaked at 615, fell all the way to 385, and has now recovered to 494. Data from @icterminal

The interesting part isn't the automation. It's why the server has to exist at all. Agents can't hold keys. They hallucinate, and you can't verify one generated real randomness instead of pulling a public key off the internet. So the keys live in a server and the agent gets short-lived, scoped delegations instead. Every team building agent access runs into this. ICP just published its answer.

🧵In my next members video. I’ll discuss one of my main/only concerns. Which is any potential disruption between the cloud engine model, and ICP public mainnet/the ICP token. I feel very confident that canisters will eat traditional software. There are simply no other solutions. BUT the potential for Dfinity's IP/cloud engines being acquired, and ICP public mainnet being phased out. While cloud engines moves forward. Is something that I think should at least be talked through. And/or the current stated relationship between cloud engines and ICP changes randomly bc of special interests or closed door meetings. *I don’t think* this is a likely outcome for the reasons I will go over. But for the sake of intellectual honesty, and exploring all outcomes. I want to go through everything. I would ideally like to see more information about solidifying the flywheel between cloud engine usage <> demand for ICP. For example. Is there a verifiable audit trail that ICP holders can independently check to ensure the stated tokenomics for cloud engines is accurately used to drive demand for ICP? Is this just a gentleman’s agreement that can change anytime? Or a set-in-stone model that can ultimately be set up in a way that ICP holders can independently verify? At this point ICP holders future potential success is heavily riding on cloud engines. Hence why I want to unpack this in more depth. Video should be out in the next few days. $ICP $CLOUD ☁️♾️
