Update on the Stacks hardfork: (1) 100% of the miners upgraded. 98.44% of the signers upgraded. The network is operating smoothly. (2) All major exchanges (Binance, Upbit, etc) and major partners have upgraded. (3) Binance asked for additional information, which we’ve provided. There seem to be no additional questions from Binance. Their “risk tag” will get reviewed in the upcoming committee meeting in a few weeks. (4) The Stacks Endowment is working on new initiatives for improving liquidity and health of trading markets. Update soon. The Satoshi Upgrades 1 fork is the best engineering execution we’ve seen so far. I’m excited about the upcoming initiatives in August to improve liquidity and markets!

I recently started a new format breaking down the monthly and quarterly performance of leading protocols. After reviewing @SuiNetwork’s July progress, it’s time to go deeper. Here’s the full @Stacks Q2 breakdown. 1️⃣ The ecosystem crossed 1.6M wallets New active wallets went from 72K to 110K, so up ~50% QoQ, and that's with a one-off Q1 spike excluded. Daily actives grew 55% to ~4.2K. Not bad for a quarter where most of the market was bleeding. 2️⃣ Institutions aren't waiting around UTXO Management (owned by Nakamoto Inc, a NASDAQ-listed company) signed up as the first staking partner and already committed part of their BTC. They're going for ~3% yield on their Bitcoin without giving up custody. The market for this is huge, the top 100 Bitcoin treasury companies are sitting on 1.2M+ BTC doing absolutely nothing. This isn't a sponsored post. A portion of my assets is in Stacks. I needed quick access to cash for a situation (like real estate), so it's been a while since I unstaked them. Watching from afar, I really regret missing out on stacking. There’s no better opportunity cost than stacking in a bear market. Looking back, I’ve been stacking them up little by little like a financial savings product since 2021, and it turned out to be a pretty solid amount. Luckily, it looks like I won't have to sell, and I plan to start stacking again once my financial situation improves. Before that, though, I really wish direct deposits from Korean exchanges to wallets like Leather or Xverse would become available. @muneeb @Stacks @LeatherBTC @xverse
