    $AAVE, one of the largest lending platforms in decentralized finance, is ending its activities on several popular blockchain networks. AAVE: Will gradually cease its presence and support on various networks such as Aptos, Scroll, SonicLabs, Zksync, Soneium, and MetisL2. Aave founder Stani Kulechov explicitly stated that these networks did not see sufficient user interest and asset adoption. In other words, the projects are being halted because the expected demand on these networks did not materialize. Kulechov emphasized that this decision should not be interpreted as a negative view towards L1 or L2 technologies in general, but is entirely due to low adoption rates.

    🚨 @aave has stopped supporting dozens of low-usage assets and networks. Aave announced that it will begin deprecating 50 low-usage asset reserves, along with ending the protocol’s deployment on the Sonic, Scroll, zkSync, Metis, Soneium, and Aptos networks. Stani Kulechov, founder of Aave, explained that these changes will affect assets worth $98.1 million deposited in the protocol, as well as outstanding debts of $15.6 million. This move is part of Aave’s efforts to concentrate liquidity and resources on the most active networks and assets, aiming to improve operational efficiency and reduce the maintenance costs of markets with limited usage.
