this is an EXTREMELY movement thing to do, like 100% on brand note that there are legitimate non-insider creditors here who were screwed over financially by this train wreck they are now seemingly being put behind insiders in the claims pecking order while same insiders fully control the bankruptcy process

🚨 WOW—THIS is the real breaking news in the Movement Labs bankruptcy. Forget the headline that Movement Labs simply “filed Chapter 11.” The docket reveals what may be an extraordinary new crypto restructuring tactic: Transfer the operating business, IP, contracts, token rights and employees before bankruptcy. Leave the legacy company with $60,000 and litigation claims. Then have a Foundation-controlled Cayman SPV fund a Subchapter V case conditioned on court approval of the transfers and sweeping releases for nearly everyone surrounding the successor business. Here is what the filings say: Under the pre‑petition Project Fenix Agreement, Movement Labs transferred its remaining IP and key contracts to the Movement Network Foundation, surrendered its MOVE‑token distribution rights and agreed to wind down. A separate transaction transferred its team to Move Industries for only $1.2 million. By the petition date, Movement Labs admits it had: • no material operating assets • no operating business • no full‑t

🚨 Movement Labs filed for bankruptcy after a major collapse in less than two years. Movement Labs filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection after court documents revealed that its remaining assets are under $500,000, just about 18 months after it was targeted for a $3 billion valuation. The documents also show that Rushi Manche, the former co‑founder of the company, is among the largest creditors, a development that reflects the magnitude of the crisis facing the firm. This bankruptcy comes after a series of negative events, most notably a market‑making scandal involving the $MOVE token, a ban by @binance, and an internal investigation into the token launch mechanism. These developments serve as a new example of the risks facing fast‑growing crypto projects, especially when high valuations are paired with governance or token‑launch management issues, which can lead to loss of investor confidence and a rapid project collapse.

I just want to remind you that @movement_xyz raised a $38M Series A, and 66M MOVE tokens were dumped the day after launch (~5% supply, per CoinDesk). MNMT is now filing for bankruptcy because they’re out of money—and once the media catches up, @torabyou posts that Move Industries and MVMT Labs are two different companies, and the bankruptcy doesn’t affect Movement. Had to do mini research to actually understand wtf. Move Industries is the successor to MVMT Labs, Inc. following a 2025 corporate restructuring triggered by a controversial token launch. When MVMT Labs faced turmoil and ultimately filed for Chapter 11, early employees spun out and rebranded the core development and operating responsibilities as Move Industries. The relationship between the two entities can be summarized as follows: • Move Industries took over the core blockchain development and operating responsibilities of the Movement Network ecosystem after MVMT Labs underwent a major management shake-up. • MVMT Labs and Move Industries are entirely separate legal entities. Consequently, Move Industries is not involved in, nor protected by, the MVMT Labs bankruptcy case. • In the bankruptcy proceedings, Move Industries is considered a creditor to MVMT Labs. The exact separation of historical financials, intellectual property, and brand usage rights remains under review. • Move Industries operates as an independent development team. Under @torabyou, it pivoted its strategic focus away from Ethereum scaling networks and toward cross-border payments, remittances, and stablecoin settlements. I will leave the conclusion to you – but $MOVE has one of the ugliest charts in crypto.

Movement raised $141.4 million and had a $106 billion FDV. Despite all that. • It's generating $0 in protocol revenue and fees. • Filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in under 600 days. • The token is now down 99.3% from its all-time high If you invested $1,000 in MOVE at the top, you'd be left with just $7 today. A brutal reminder that valuation means nothing without execution.

Movement Labs Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Movement Labs, the team behind the Movement blockchain, an Ethereum layer-2 built on Meta's old Move programming language, has filed for Chapter 11, capping a brutal year that went from hyped token launch to token-dump scandal to bankruptcy court. The unravelling started right after MOVE launched in December. A CoinDesk investigation found a market-making deal that let a single counterparty sell 66 million MOVE tokens just one day after debut, crushing the price. Binance banned the account involved, Movement launched a buyback and hired an outside firm to investigate, and co-founder Rushi Manche parted ways with the company in May 2025. In June, Movement abandoned the layer-2 race and pivoted to cross-border payments and stablecoin settlement, claiming licensed payment rails in the US, Canada and the EU. Weeks later, it's in Chapter 11 - operations may continue during restructuring, but the fate of the network and the payments plan is now unclear.

$MOVE collapsed 100x from ATH. The Movement saga just took a dramatic turn. Movement Labs (MVMT Labs), the original developer of the Movement blockchain, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the US on 15/07/2026. The company raised $141M, launched $MOVE in late 2024, then faced a series of major setbacks: • Market maker-related scandal triggered heavy token selling. • $MOVE fell more than 99% from its all-time high. • Internal disputes emerged around governance and restructuring plans. • Binance took actions related to the incident. • Movement’s application revenue was nearly $0 for months, with reported transaction fees around $1 in 24 hours, despite TVL still around $133M. Court filings show: • Estimated assets: $100,000–$500,000 • Liabilities: $1M–$10M • Around 200–999 creditors • Largest known creditor: former CEO Rushi Manche, owed approximately $1.6M Important detail: Chapter 11 means restructuring, not liquidation. The court allowed the company to continue operating through debtor-in-possession financing. After the bankruptcy filing, Move Industries — led by Torob Torabi — stated that it is not MVMT Labs and remains the team continuing to develop the Movement ecosystem. According to CEO Torob Torabi, Movement is shifting focus toward payment infrastructure and stablecoins for emerging markets. $MOVE remains the native token of the network, and the blockchain continues operating normally. The biggest question now: A project raises $141M, loses 99%+ token value, faces governance scandals, files bankruptcy, changes legal entities, and pivots toward the latest market narrative. The token is down 100x from the peak. The ecosystem has limited users, near-zero application revenue, and the previous team carries major controversy. What do you think about Movement’s future after this restructuring?
