Take ELOOP, for example - it’s a real fleet of over 100 Teslas. They’ve processed over €2 million in transactions directly on the blockchain.
But how come they’re not making any money?
In DePIN, activity and monetization are two different stages.
First, you connect the cars and build a network of real users - that’s what they’re doing.
Then you learn how to take a commission from this without scaring participants away.
That stage is still ahead.
I think the race among DePINs will come down to how many users they manage to retain after introducing fees.
